VPI Introduces New CCTV Tester & Multimeter

AURORA, OH: Video Products Inc (VPI) announces the addition of the TESTER-CCTV-P Professional CCTV Tester and Multimeter to its popular line of testers.

The TESTER-CCTV-P Professional CCTV Tester and Multimeter is a portable, multi-function tester for CCTV installations and maintenance. With the ability to display video on a 3.5" TFT-LCD 960x240 screen and supply 12V DC power, cameras can be set up without the hassle of running between a camera and a DVR located in a separate area. The unit offers a wide selection of test options, including digital multimeter, audio, video, and LAN (local area network) cable connections. It also provides PTZ (Pan-Tilt-Zoom) control and supports more than twenty PTZ protocols, such as PELCO-D/P, Panasonic, and Samsung.

The TESTER-CCTV-P automatically adapts to the video input signal needed when used as a monitor. It can generate the PAL/NTSC multi-system color bar for video testing and calibration, including adjustments for brightness, contrast and color saturation. The digital multimeter provides voltage, current, resistance, capacitance, continuity, and diode testing, expanding its use beyond CCTV configurations. Additionally, the unit supports RS232, RS485 and RS422 interfaces, and baud rates ranging from 150 to 19200 bps. Capable of capturing and displaying RS485 control data, the unit enables effective troubleshooting.

Powered by a rechargeable 3.7V Li-ion polymer battery, the unit boasts a runtime of up to 12 hours and can be recharged using the included AC adapter. The unit comes encased in a protective rubber case with an adjustable strap for easy handling.
