VPI Now Offering a Component Video Test Pattern Generator

AURORA, OH: Video Products Inc (VPI) today announced the addition of the MONTEST-CMP Component Video Test Pattern Generator to its popular line of Video Test Pattern Generators.

The Component Video Pattern Generator is a battery-powered, portable, compact unit that generates video test patterns for evaluating HDTV YPbPr component video displays.

The unit features 36 static and dynamic video test patterns and 10 timings up to 1080p, including patterns such as color bar, gray, grid, and block. Control the tester using the front panel control buttons and 16x2 LCD.

The MONTEST-CMP supports Bi-Level (EIA) and Tri-Level (STMPTE) sync, and up to a maximum 148.5 MHz pixel frequency. The three female RCA output connectors are compatible with any component interface and supports cable lengths up to 16 feet (5 m).

Powered by a 4.8V, 2300mAh Ni-MH battery, the unit has a runtime of 6 to 8 hours and can be recharged using the included 12VDC, 1.25A power adapter (US, EU, AUS, and UK AC adapter provided). The unit will automatically power off when unused in battery mode. With compact dimensions of 3.77x7.1x1.33 inches, the Component Video Pattern Generator is ideal for on-the-field testing.
